Wallace Goes Back-To-School

Free back to school health fair - Rockwood market hall plaza Aug 8, 11-2

This free community event will be hosted by Wallace, Multnomah County Community Health Center, and East County Community Health. Free resources and activities will include:

  • Sports physicals on the Wallace mobile medical clinic
  • Fluoride varnishes and other dental resources for kids on the Multnomah County mobile medical clinic
  • Haircuts
  • Books for all ages, in a variety of languages
  • Health insurance enrollment assistance
  • Farm produce stand
  • Health services resources (access to medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy and more)
  • Safe routes to school information
  • Face painting, games, selfie station, music and DJ
  • Lunch in the Downtown Rockwood Market Hall
  • Prizes, featuring school-related supplies
  • Information and connection to community services including after school, youth and cultural programs, employment, job training and housing support

The Back-to-School Health Fair is part of the National Association of Community Health Center’s (NACHC) National Health Center Week celebration, a nationwide effort to underscore the many ways that health centers serve their communities.
