Wallace offers high-quality diagnostic testing at our convenient Rockwood clinic lab.

9 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Friday

Get Ready for Your Lab Test
- Make sure to drink plenty of water starting the night before your test.
- Continue to take prescribed medications as directed by your provider.
- Do not urinate just before coming in for a blood test. Often, a urine sample is also needed.
- Fast only if directed to do so. If your test requires fasting, do not eat for eight hours before the test. Do drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. You may have one cup of black coffee or tea (no cream or sugar added).
Lab Results
When your results are ready, we’ll get a notification from LabCorp. It can take up to a week, depending on the test. Once your provider reviews the results, we’ll call you. In some cases, results may also be sent by mail or through MyChart. If you’re enrolled in MyChart, you may also receive a notification when your results are available there. Feel free to call us with questions but note that we may not have updates until the provider has reviewed them.
Billing for Lab Services
Wallace uses an outside company to process many lab test results. You will receive a separate bill for those services. Lab test costs vary. If you qualify for sliding-scale fees at Wallace, you also will qualify for sliding-scale fees from our lab-test processor.
