I was born and raised in Portland, OR. I enjoy providing primary care to patients with a focus on lifestyle modifications foremost. I also speak Spanish and it is rewarding to be able to give back to my community by helping break language barriers between provider and patient. Prior to Wallace I worked at Oregon Health & Science University in surgical oncology. When I am not at work, I enjoy trying new restaurants, spending time with my dog, working out, and travel.

Marquishia Winters, FNP
Bio
I grew up moving and living around the country, as my mother served in the U.S. Air Force.
Moving approximately every 4 years, even into adulthood, has allowed me to connect with people from all walks of life.
I had been a surgical trauma registered nurse for most of my 12 years before returning to school to earn my Masters of Nursing degree at Frontier Nursing University to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. During my graduate education, I also studied under various herbalists to become a community herbalist.
I offer preventative and chronic disease management for children and adults. I have a special interest in gender affirming care and taking care of people from historically disadvantaged groups.
I use a collaborative approach where I believe that people are experts of their own bodies, and I am here to offer guidance on how to obtain and maintain each person’s definitions of well-being. Knowing that social and political dynamics impact our health and our ability to maintain well-being, my practice is rooted in Black, 2SLGBTQ+ and fat liberation, disability justice, and Indigenous sovereignty politics.
In my free time I can be found community organizing, participating in outdoor adventures, roller skating, gardening, creating art and herbal medicine.

Bio
I’m a dentist with experience in both private practice and public health. I was born and raised in Georgia and earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia before going on to complete my DDS at Virginia Commonwealth University. After dental school, I completed a General Practice Residency at the Portland VA Hospital.
I spent several years in private practice before discovering my true passion for public health, which led me to my current role at Wallace. Here, I’m able to provide high-quality care to underserved communities while making a meaningful impact.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our golden retriever. I’m also passionate about rock climbing, skiing, and am currently learning Spanish to better connect with the people I serve.

In my free time I enjoy the outdoors and visiting family and friends.”

I was born in Egypt and moved to the US when I was 11 years old. I have been in the Portland Metro area since then as I attended Portland State University for my Bachelors and Oregon Health and Science University for my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. As a child of immigrants myself, I see the tremendous need in our community to advocate for immigrants’ health. As a dental provider, my mission is to encourage patients to put their health first, even when many life obstacles are in the way. In my spare time, you will find me spending time with my family and dog Mochi, hiking, and crocheting.

Bio
I’ve lived in inner NE Portland Oregon almost as long as I’ve been a dental hygienist. My background is in art and I consider myself fortunate to have found the dental hygiene profession. I love working with my hands and thinking creatively. Through clinical work and teaching, I get both.
Currently, my husband and I live in a turn of the century home where we’re blessed with the never-ending opportunity to learn new construction skills.
Hobbies
I’m a curious person. My pastimes include walking around, looking at stuff, and thinking about things. I think I can make anything, given the motivation, and I like to make things when time allows.

Bio
I was born and raised in the Fairview/Gresham area. I became interested in dentistry at a very young age. As a child I enjoyed going to the dentist. I was inspired to pursue dental hygiene when I learned that my parents didn’t have access to dental care growing up. In high school, I enrolled in an after-school program at OHSU dental school which further pushed me into the dental field. I graduated from dental hygiene at Mt Hood Community College. I feel privileged to serve the community and strive to provide the best care possible. My goal is for patients to lose the “fear” of coming into the dental office and feel comfortable to express their concerns in English and Spanish.
